Jakarta, March 3 -- Statistics Indonesia (BPS) stated that Indonesia's rice production is projected to reach 13.95 million tons from January to April 2025, the highest in the last seven years.
Rice production stood at 13.63 million tons in 2019, 11.52 million tons in 2020, 13.58 million tons in 2021, 13.71 million tons in 2022, 12.98 million tons in 2023, and 11.07 million tons in 2024.
"When compared with production realization in the previous years, the potential for rice production from January to April 2025 is estimated to be the highest in the last seven years," BPS Head Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti remarked here on Monday.
