Jakarta, July 24 -- Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni affirmed that the addition of facilities and infrastructure can help reduce the number of hotspots of forest and land fires in Riau Province.

In the ministry's statement here on Thursday, Antoni remarked that several facilities and infrastructure include additional helicopters, water bombing units, and troop mobilization for fire suppression in the Rokan Hulu and Rokan Hilir areas.

"Currently, we have two helicopters available for Weather Modification Operations. We hope to increase this to three. We currently have three water bombing units, and within the next day or two, this will increase to five," Antoni remarked.
