Jakarta, June 5 -- House of Representatives (DPR) legislator Mardani Ali Sera has called on the BRICS economic bloc to intensify cooperation in trade, investment, finance, and technology to foster collective resilience among member states against global challenges.
During the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in Brasilia, Brazil, on Tuesday, he emphasized that stronger ties in these areas could also stimulate economic growth.
Sera, who is head of the DPR's Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP), led the Indonesian delegation at the forum.
During the meeting, he stressed that BRICS has a vital role to play in revitalizing multilateralism as a counterbalance to increasing global fragmentation.
