Jakarta, June 16 -- The Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry is planning to establish 100 Red and White fisheries village s within the next four months to push community empowerment-based development in the country's coastal regions.

Trian Yunanda, an expert staff on economic, social, and cultural affairs to the Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister, disclosed the target during the "Morning Sea" event here on Monday.

"Our team assumes that with a comprehensive plan, we may be able to achieve the target," Yunanda said, adding that the ministry will invite its officers from priority coastal areas to discuss the matter.
