Jakarta, Dec. 3 -- Indonesia's Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) said public education is essential to building a stronger and more orderly halal ecosystem, arguing that clearer understanding of standards will drive long-term compliance and sector growth.
"When the public understands the urgency of halal standards, and producers or business owners implement them, the halal ecosystem becomes stronger and more sustainable," BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan said in a statement on Wednesday.
He said broader awareness of the importance of halal certification is central to improving halal literacy and ensuring stronger implementation of halal assurance across Indonesia.
