Jakarta, Nov. 14 -- The Indonesian government is rolling out initiatives to create an inclusive environment that improves mental health and supports the potential of people with disabilities, the Ministry of Health said Friday.

Astuti, head of the ministry's task force on health for women and children victims of violence, made the remarks during the 61st National Health Day and ahead of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Dec. 3, 2025.

According to 2023 data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia has about 4.1 million people with disabilities.
