Jakarta, Dec. 9 -- President Prabowo Subianto noted that Indonesia and Pakistan hold similar values as the two largest Muslim nations in the world, while upholding a moderate interpretation of Islam that promotes inclusivity and tolerance.

In a joint statement with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister's official residence (PM House) in Islamabad on Tuesday, Prabowo said that both countries share a historical relationship.

"We have shared values and interests. We may both be the largest Muslim countries in the world, but our view is a moderate Islam that promotes inclusivity, tolerance, and historical ties," he stated as broadcast live on YouTube in Jakarta on Tuesday.
