Jakarta, Feb. 17 -- The Indonesian government is considering offering free land plots to establish embassy complexes in an area designated as the diplomatic compound within Indonesia's new capital, Nusantara (IKN).

Head of the IKN Authority (OIKN), Basuki Hadimuljono, announced in Jakarta on Monday that he intends to present this proposal to President Prabowo Subianto.

He explained that the discourse on offering free pieces of land is directed towards encouraging and facilitating Indonesia's allies in relocating the headquarters of their diplomatic activities in the future capital city before 2028.
