Jakarta, Nov. 3 -- Indonesia recorded 11.43 million foreign tourist arrivals from January to September 2025, reflecting an increase of 10.22 percent compared to the same period in 2024, according to Statistics Indonesia (BPS).

This was announced by the Deputy for Distribution and Service Statistics at BPS, Pudji Ismartini, in a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.

According to her, the average spending per foreign tourist visit in the third quarter of 2025 stood at US$1,297, higher than the average in the same period last year of US$1,199.

The greatest percentage of foreign tourist expenditure was for accommodation at 37.31 percent, followed by food and beverages at 19.4 percent, shopping and souvenirs at 10.98 percent, and entertain...
