Jakarta, June 26 -- Indonesia's Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has expressed hopes of bolstering collaboration in sustainable public transportation development with the United Kingdom (UK).

"We hope to deepen this collaboration so that we can provide more sustainable public transport and smarter logistics for the people," the minister said during a reception held to celebrate the 77th birthday of King Charles III here on Wednesday.

Indonesia and the United Kingdom share a commitment to building cleaner and greener mobility, he said, adding that Jakarta has played its part by launching TransJakarta electric buses and the Jakarta LRT (Light Rapid Transit) system.
