Jakarta, Oct. 24 -- Indonesia will require the use of gasoline blended with 10 percent bioethanol (E10) starting in 2027 as part of efforts to strengthen energy independence and cut fuel imports, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia announced Friday.
"By 2027, we will mandate our fuel to contain between 10 percent and 20 percent bioethanol," Lahadalia said during a ceremony marking the Mining and Energy Anniversary at the National Monument in Jakarta.
