Jakarta, Sept. 4 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower has called on companies to comply with labor regulations, including proper employment of foreign workers, to ensure protection for both local and overseas employees.

"We want to ensure all foreign workers in Indonesia meet the legal requirements-from work permits and job roles to mandatory knowledge transfer to local employees," Director of Labor Norms Inspection Rinaldi Umar said in a statement on Thursday.

The ministry's Labor Supervisory Team recently conducted inspections across several regions, including the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) in Central Sulawesi, from September 1-3, to assess compliance with labor standards.
