Jakarta, June 15 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Religious Affairs organized an event for Buddhists across Indonesia to simultaneously recite the Dhammapada scripture in celebration of this year's Vesak Day, which fell on May 12.

The religious activity involved a total of 2,569 Buddhists participating from houses of worship, schools, universities, and offices of the Religious Affairs Ministry nationwide on Sunday.
