Jakarta, Nov. 5 -- Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar announced new programs to train and provide land for families categorized as extremely poor, aiming to eradicate extreme poverty in Indonesia by 2026.

"The president approved that heads of extremely poor families will receive up to four months of training as security guards, agricultural workers, or in cleaning services. After training, they will be directly employed by job providers," Iskandar said on Wednesday.

In addition to job training, the government plans to allocate land from agrarian reform programs to extremely poor families, primarily in the agricultural sector.
