Jakarta, Nov. 13 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions has underscored the crucial role of professional village facilitators in helping communities build resilience against climate change.
Hasman Ma'ani, a community self-help mobilizer at the ministry's Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM), said facilitators are key to ensuring that climate adaptation, disaster mitigation, and food security issues are reflected in village development plans.
"The preparation of climate-informed village development documents begins with identifying local climate risks and their impacts," Ma'ani said during an online workshop on Thursday.
