Jakarta, Feb. 2 -- The Ministry of Youth and Sports is prioritizing an equitable presence of multi-purpose sports centers in all regions across Indonesia to support sport competitions and trainings for athletes of various sports, including basketball.

"Currently, we are intensifying the efforts so that regions no longer propose stadiums or mini stadiums; we are prioritizing building multi-purpose sports centers," Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo said.

Speaking at the inauguration and working meeting of the Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) here on Saturday, he explained that the multi-purpose sports centers can be used for several sport events, including basketball, volleyball, and futsal.
