Bekasi, March 28 -- Migrant Worker Protection Minister Abdul Kadir Karding sealed PT Multi Intan Amanah (MIA), a migrant worker placement company in Bekasi City, West Java, on Friday over violations of rules and contracts.

The minister and his aides penalized PT MIA by placing stickers on its building and installing a board declaring the temporary cessation of operations of the non-compliant migrant worker agency.

"After overseeing this company for the last one and a half years, we have identified indications of ill practices in its migrant worker placement processes," he remarked.
