Padang, W Sumatra, Jan. 5 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education said Monday it will prioritize schools that suffered severe damage from floods and landslides in Sumatra under this year's national school revitalization program, as authorities move to restore learning facilities disrupted by recent disasters.

"In this year's revitalization program, we will prioritize schools that are severely damaged and no longer usable," Deputy Minister Atip Latipulhayat told reporters in Padang, West Sumatra, during a visit to assess post-disaster recovery efforts.
