Jakarta, May 9 -- The mechanism to add Rp50 trillion (around USD3 billion) to the budget for the Free Meals Program is being prepared through a presidential regulation, Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana stated.

"We are preparing the mechanism (for the additional budget) first in order to accelerate the implementation of the program," Hindayana stated here on Friday.

He said President Prabowo Subianto saw the need to expand the scope of beneficiaries of the free meals program, making acceleration necessary.
