Jakarta, June 4 -- The Indonesian government is offering discounts on transportation services during the June-July 2025 school holidays to encourage more domestic travelers to visit tourist attractions across the country.

Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana noted in a press statement by the ministry here on Wednesday that the number of domestic tourists typically rises sharply during school holidays.

"In addition to Eid, Christmas, and New Year holidays, school holidays are one of the key periods that tourism business actors look forward to for increasing sales," she remarked.
