Jakarta, June 23 -- Indonesia's Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry has sent a letter to the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, asking it to block a website offering to sell small islands in the Anambas Islands District, Riau Islands.
The letter was sent by the ministry's Directorate General of Marine Spatial Management in response to reports of the online listing of the islands, in violation of Indonesian law.
This was confirmed by the ministry's director general of marine spatial management, Koswara, during a discussion with the media in Jakarta on Monday.
