Jakarta, July 2 -- Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni stated that implementing the import deregulation policy for forestry products can provide legal certainty, facilitate investment, and create jobs.

"We will manage these regulations well to provide legal certainty, improve the ease of doing business, as well as create jobs," he noted in an official statement in Jakarta, on Tuesday.

In addition, the Forestry Ministry, along with the Trade Ministry and the Finance Ministry, has finalized the import deregulation policy.

"We have worked on this deregulation package together," he noted.

Earlier, the Indonesian government announced the first phase of its import deregulation policy to increase Indonesia's competitiveness globally.
