Jakarta, Sept. 12 -- The Indonesian government is finalizing an economic stimulus package that will run until the end of 2025, including paid internships for fresh graduates, new tax breaks, and expanded social protection programs, officials said Friday.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the package is being prepared on President Prabowo Subianto's directive and is being finalized with Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.

He explained that the internship program for new graduates aims to better match skills with industry needs.

The package also broadens government-borne tax incentives (DTP), extending them beyond labor-intensive industries to sectors such as hospitality, restaurants, and catering.
