Jakarta, Nov. 27 -- Indonesia will again offer free holiday travel for the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year period, aiming to ease traffic congestion and reduce accidents, particularly among motorcycle travelers.
Deputy Transportation Minister Suntana said in a press briefing Wednesday in Jakarta that this year's program will follow last year's model, with the government providing buses, ships and trains to transport both passengers and motorcycles to major destinations.
"As in previous years, the government will provide free holiday transport using buses at several terminals, and for those traveling with motorcycles, we will offer trains and ships to carry the vehicles to designated regions to reduce road accidents," Suntana said.
