Jakarta, Aug. 21 -- Indonesia is considering establishing a dedicated Hajj Ministry as part of proposed revisions to a 2019 law on Hajj and Umrah services, a cabinet member said Thursday.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed the plan, which is included in the government's list of issues (DIM) submitted to the House of Representatives (DPR) as part of deliberations on the bill.

"There is such a plan. The DIM has been submitted to the DPR. We hope the process will be completed soon," Hadi told reporters at the presidential palace.
