Jakarta, June 4 -- Minister of Manpower Yassierli stressed the importance of organizers being fully prepared when holding job fairs so that these events can run more efficiently and under control.

"If you want to hold a job fair, please be aware of the risks. We hope that the job fair will serve as proof of the government's role," the minister remarked when met here on Wednesday.

Recent job fairs have come under scrutiny following several incidents in various locations, including Cikarang, West Java.

An overwhelming number of job seekers combined with a limited number of job vacancies available at the job fair have been cited as one of the factors contributing to the disorder at the event.
