Jakarta, May 24 -- The Indonesian government announced a package of economic stimuli to boost people's purchasing power in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, including a 50-percent electricity discount for 79.3 million households in June and July.

In a statement cited here on Saturday, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto noted that the electricity rebate is intended for households with a power capacity below 1,300 volt-amperes (VA).

This power discount policy mirrors the program implemented between January and February this year, when the government offered the same discount to households with power capacities ranging from 450 to 2,200 VA.
