Jakarta, Dec. 28 -- Indonesia is pressing ahead with emergency response and post-disaster recovery efforts after deadly floods and landslides hit parts of Sumatra, even as the country enters the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holiday period, the government said Sunday.

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno said authorities remain fully mobilized to support affected communities in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, stressing that disaster response would not slow during the year-end transition.
