Jakarta, Sept. 19 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries reported that the number of Indonesian fish processing companies eligible to export to Taiwan has risen to nearly 700.

Ishartini, Head of the ministry's Marine and Fisheries Quality Control and Monitoring Agency, stated that 693 companies are now eligible, following the recent approval of 26 additional exporters.

"We've received confirmation from Taiwan's competent authority that 26 more companies have been approved to begin exports. This brings the total number of eligible fish processing companies to 693," she said on Thursday.
