Jakarta, June 29 -- The Consulate General of Indonesia (KJRI) in Mumbai, India, facilitated the evacuation and repatriation of nine Indonesian crew members who had been stranded aboard the Tanzanian-flagged cargo ship MV Sencer 1 due to neglect.

Indonesian Consul General in Mumbai, Edy Wardoyo, expressed his appreciation to all parties involved for their solidarity and commitment in upholding the rights and welfare of the Indonesian crew members.

"This is a true example of diplomacy in action-protecting Indonesian citizens through collaboration and a humanitarian approach," Wardoyo stated in an official release from KJRI Mumbai, on Sunday.
