Jakarta, Dec. 27 -- Indonesia is banking on a nationwide shopping campaign to boost consumer spending during the year-end holidays, as the government targets a surge in retail activity to support economic growth.

Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said the BINA Indonesia Great Sale 2025 program is expected to help drive money circulation during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

"BINA, or Belanja di Indonesia Aja Indonesia Great Sale, runs from Dec. 18, 2025, until Jan. 4, 2026," Widiyanti told a press conference in Jakarta on Friday.
