Jakarta, Oct. 10 -- Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono has assured that Indonesian marine product exports to the United States, including shrimp, are safe from radiation contamination, specifically from the Radionuclide Cesium-137 (Cs-137).
Speaking on Friday, Trenggono confirmed that the ministry is intensifying coordination and negotiations with the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to ensure the continuation of shrimp exports, which he assured are safe and well-regulated.
