Jakarta, June 20 -- Indonesia and Vietnam are pursuing consistent collaboration in counterterrorism efforts through the 2nd Joint Working Group on Counterterrorism, with the goal of bringing peace to the region.

The National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) said on Friday that the two nations have enjoyed a comprehensive partnership since 2022, and both aim to consistently develop their collaboration on counterterrorism and its relevant aspects.

"Collaboration between Vietnam and Indonesia has grown stronger since the inking of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on December 22, 2022," the agency's deputy for international collaboration, Andhika Chrisnayudhanto, said.
