Jakarta, July 6 -- The Indonesian Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry along with the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center/Inland Fishery Resources Development and Management Department (SEAFDEC/IFRDMD) are working together to improve the capacity of human resources to reduce microplastic pollution in the sea.

"Microplastic pollution is a growing transboundary challenge that requires urgent attention and collaborative action," Head of the ministry's Marine and Fisheries Human Resources Extension and Development Agency (BPPSDM KP) I Nyoman Radiarta stated in a statement released in Jakarta, on Saturday.
