Jakarta, June 24 -- Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir has emphasized Indonesia's commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and partnerships with countries in the Pacific to realize shared prosperity and solidarity in facing global challenges.

During a meeting with Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka on the sidelines of the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Summit in Suva, Fiji, on Monday, Nasir described Fiji as one of Indonesia's main partners in the Pacific.

"Fiji has been a good friend and important partner for Indonesia in the Pacific region. In the future, Indonesia is committed to continuing to improve our bilateral relations," he said in a statement.
