Jakarta, Sept. 25 -- The National Foods and Drugs Authority (BPOM) and the International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group (IPMG) are partnering to protect Indonesians against the dangers of diverted, substandard medications and ensure patient safety through monitoring.

BPOM's director for narcotics, psychotropics, precursors, and addictive substance safety and quality monitoring, Nova Emelda, made the statement on World Patient Safety Day 2026 here on Thursday.

IPMG is a non-profit organization comprising 26 Indonesia-based pharmaceutical multinational companies operating on a foundation of research and technological pursuits.
