Jakarta, April 16 -- The Health Ministry has requested the Indonesian Health Council (KKI) to revoke the registration certificate (STR) of an obstetrician in Garut, West Java, who is accused of harassing his patient.

Aji Muhawarman, the ministry's head of communication and public service bureau, noted in a statement on Wednesday that if the investigation found violations of ethics and professional discipline, KKI would temporarily revoke the STR of the doctor concerned.

His side would also recommend that the local Health Service revoke the perpetrator's practice permit (SIP).
