Padang, W Sumatra, April 9 -- House of Representatives (DPR) member My Esti Wijayati has underlined the need for reassessing the distribution of the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) for Higher Education, especially in frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) areas.

"We understand very well that for certain regions, like the 3T areas, they are in great need of the KIP for Higher Education," she said here on Wednesday.

According to Wijayati, the reassessment must aim to ensure that the distribution or provision of education assistance by the government is on target.

Moreover, data/reports received by her side, the DPR's Commission X, indicate that only half of all applicants have been found eligible for the KIP for Higher Education.
