Jakarta, March 31 -- Residents across Jakarta thronged the open house hosted by President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace on Eid al-Fitr Day on Monday.
A resident, Joko, 40, stated that although he did not meet the president, he was happy to attend the open house. "But I am not disappointed. I am glad to have entered the Palace," Joko, who hailed from West Jakarta, remarked.
As he belongs to the disabled community, he was prioritized to enter the palace for the open house.
Meanwhile, another resident, Inayah, aged 50, admitted feeling slightly disappointed for not meeting Prabowo. "My intention in joining this open house is to meet the president," she noted.
