Jakarta, Dec. 12 -- The Trade Ministry ensured the re-construction of 112 traditional markets across Sumatra that were affected by the floods and landslides, including 65 markets in Aceh, 44 in North Sumatra, and three in West Sumatra.

"Recently, we identified the affected markets and coordinated with the Public Works Ministry. That's 44 in North Sumatra, three in West Sumatra, and 65 in Aceh," Trade Minister Budi Santoso said here on Friday.

He stated that his office has coordinated with the Public Works Ministry, which oversees market construction and renovation, to provide recommendations on which markets should be prioritized for repair.
