Jakarta, May 21 -- Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo aims to complete renovations for 65 schools for Sekolah Rakyat in July.

Sekolah Rakyat is a free education initiative launched by the government to improve access to education and reduce poverty.

"Of the 100 schools for the first phase of Sekolah Rakyat, the renovation work for 65 schools started last week. We hope it can be completed by early July," he remarked on Wednesday.

Hanggodo stated that infrastructure work for Sekolah Rakyat phase I has started at 100 schools, with completion targeted for 2025.
