Jakarta, June 26 -- Population and Family Development Minister Wihaji underscored the importance of involving religious leaders and community leaders in efforts to tackle the child marriage issue in the country.

"Local problems like child marriage need to be addressed by involving local leaders and regional heads," he said in Jakarta on Thursday.

According to the minister, leaders are expected to use a psychological approach to remind the youth to reject child marriage as it can cause stunting in children.
