Jakarta, March 14 -- Head of Bank Indonesia's (BI's) Payment System Policy Department, Dicky Kartikoyono, stated that Near Field Communication (NFC)-based QRIS Tap transactions are completed in just 0.3 seconds, significantly reducing wait times for public transportation users.

Kartikoyono explained that QRIS Tap is four to five seconds faster than chip-based electronic money, providing a much quicker transaction experience.

"We have tested transaction using QRIS Tap, and it only takes 0.3 seconds. This is very fast," he stated on Friday.
