Jakarta, April 14 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto revealed that Qatar has pledged to invest US$2 billion in Indonesia's development and strategic projects through the Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara).
The president made the announcement during a doorstop interview following his participation in the CEO Forum held at the initiative of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) in Doha, Qatar, on Sunday (April 13).
"I believe the meeting was excellent and very productive, as we agreed to step up cooperation. Qatar will invest in Danantara, establishing a joint fund valued at US$2 billion," he remarked, as quoted from a video broadcast in Jakarta.
