Jakarta, June 29 -- The Ministry of Transportation plans to reopen Pulau Baai Port in Bengkulu by early July 2025, with dredging of the shipping channel expected to finish by late June.

The move is critical to maintaining logistical access to surrounding regions, especially Enggano Island.

"We hope that Pulau Baai Port in Bengkulu will be operational by early July," Director General of Sea Transportation, Muhammad Masyhud stated on Sunday.

Masyud confirmed ongoing supervision of the work and the preparation of SOPs and seaworthiness inspections for vessels operating at the port.
