Jakarta, March 27 -- The Ministry of Transportation reminded the public to prepare for the closure of several transportation hubs in Bali ahead of the Silence Day (Nyepi) celebration in the area.
"Several transportation hubs in Bali will close their services for Nyepi on March 29, 2025," the ministry's Head of Communication and Public Information Bureau Budi Rahardjo stated on Thursday.
He elaborated that the suspension of transportation services aims to maintain a conducive situation and the tranquility of Balinese Hindus during the sacred day.
Transportation operational services will be halted at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Gilimanuk Ferry Port, Padang Bai Ferry Port, Benoa Port, Sanur Port, and Nusa Penida Port.
