Jakarta, Dec. 4 -- Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Puan Maharani hosted Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, to strengthen cooperation in addressing national and global challenges.

The two leaders met at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday, December 3. Puan highlighted the strong presence of Indonesia and China in multilateral forums, reflecting their shared commitment to revitalizing multilateralism amid climate crises and global economic inequality.

"We would like to specifically appreciate China for its active role as an observer at the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly through its National People's Congress," she said.
