Jakarta, June 15 -- The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has received a FIFA award for its development of a football training center in Nusantara, the country's future capital city in East Kalimantan.

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir accepted the gold-category award from FIFA President Gianni Infantino during the FIFA Executive Football Summit 2025 in Miami, Florida.

"I attended the FIFA Executive Football Summit 2025 in Miami to represent PSSI in receiving a gold-category award," Thohir said via Instagram on Sunday.

He emphasized that this is Indonesia's first-ever award of this kind and credited the recognition to the National Training Center project in Nusantara.
