Bandung, West Java, May 19 -- Minister for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Maman Abdurrahman, has stressed the importance of protecting workers engaged in the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program ecosystem to ensure the program's success.
MSMEs, which currently absorb up to 97 percent of the national workforce, are increasingly being integrated into the MBG program. Those MSMEs are part of the supply chain or nutrition fulfillment service units (SPPG) for MBG meal provision.
"Labor protection through social security programs for workers in the MBG ecosystem is important. We never know what risks might arise, so we must ensure that workers are at least covered by adequate social protection," Abdurrahman said here on Monday....
