Indonesia, July 25 -- Prosecutors at the Raba Bima District Court in West Nusa Tenggara have demanded the death penalty for four drug couriers, citing sufficient evidence that the defendants transported 260.35 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

According to Ahmad Hajar Zunaidi, head of the Bima Prosecutor's Office, the capital punishment demand was presented by prosecutors during a court session on Thursday.

Zunaidi said prosecutors had gathered enough evidence to prove that defendants HS, SR, AM, and AS alias S delivered the methamphetamine from Batam, Riau Islands, to Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara, in October 2024.
